On this day of Remembrance, we should all stop for a moment to honor those men and women who gave their lives trying rescue occupants of the Twin Towers 13 years ago.. So too do we remember 9 year old Jimmy Ryce. Jimmy was abducted on Sept 11, 1995 as he got off a school bus in rural Miami-Dade (FL). His mutilated body was not found for 3 months. His parents, Don & Claudine believed, that if the Miami-Dade Police Dept had a bloodhound at that time, it may have been possible to have found before his abductor killed him. They have since established the Jimmy Ryce Bloodhound Network and so far have donated over 400 dogs to agencies around the country, AT NO COST TO THE AGENCY. With this in mind, we post this video honoring the Search & Rescue dogs who, with their handlers, spent days and weeks searching through the rubble for survivors. #JimmyRyce JimmyRyce.org
