On this day of the commemorating the African Youth Day with special attention on African Young Women, it remains more compelling on each one of us to reserve even 5 minutes of your time today to take stock on how far we have contributed towards empowering fellow young women in our communities, countries and continent especially through education. When we reflect on where we are coming from on this issue, where we are now and where should be in the next 1 year, 2 years, 3 years, etc, then we ask the next question on what concrete strategies to adopt towards arriving where we hope to arrive. Its time for us all to by-pass political rhetoric and walk our talks as far as every step towards empowering African Youth especially Young Women is concerned. I BELIEVE IN THE AFRICAN, AND I REMAIN MORE CONVINCED THAT THE AFRICAN YOUNG WOMEN ARE ENDOWED WITH ENORMOUS POTENTIALS WHICH WE MUST COLLECTIVELY HARNESS IN OUR STRIVE TOWARDS AFRICAS EMERGENCE AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT WORTH ITS SALT @ Post2015. As this famous African female Icon- Wangari Maathai, once stated: African women in general need to know that its OK for them to be the way they are - to see the way they are as a strength, and to be liberated from fear and from silence
