On this journey of separation, I determine that I will not pass this way again, that once this walk is over, a new life awaits. I determine that I will face this challenge head-on and that I will not come out angry, bitter and resentful. I determine and agree that I cannot fix this thing that is happening to me, to us. I determine that those I encounter along this journey, the officers, the warden, the judge, the court, probation, parole, etc. do not define who I am and they do not define the one I love. I determine that I will commit all of my emotions into the hands of God, the only one who controls the systems of this world and my life. I determine that no weapon formed against me will prosper. I determine that I will live under the shadow of the Almighty and that i am blessed forever by God because I believe in Him.
