On this remeberance sunday ive been thinking about many things and special people but one thing inparticular has been playing on my mind and i feel really sad about it, the Royal Marine who has been in the news this week for shooting the taliban fighter has been charged and sent to prison for a long time.....If the forces take men and turn them into soldiers who fight and kill for our country surely some of the responsibility must lie with them when someone crosses the line? How can anyone be exposed to the horror of war and not become hardened, bitter and angry? If youve seen your friends and comrades killed and maimed it must affect you mustnt it? I know what he did was against the rules of war but should everyone be so surprised that this has happened? Im not saying that i think he was right but i do think that in my opinion his sentance is far too severe!
