On todays date in 1980, September 15, Atlantans had a choice of worthy concerts. At the Agora, if you were old enough, one could have seen Pretenders and the English Beat. But those of us teens only had one choice and that was Iggy Pop starting his six night stand at 688. From seeing Iggy show up for the show in a cab, to Chrissie Hynde being pulled on stage for One More For My Baby, to Iggy scrapping with someone who hopped on stage, to Iggy stopping No Fun to say they wouldnt play any more until every one faced the back wall, the night was over 2 1/2 hours of LOUD punk rock n roll.
