Once I was with my Great Grand Father, who I called called - TopicsExpress

Once I was with my Great Grand Father, who I called called "grandpa". He was a German Immigrant who came over when he was a youngster and ended up in Hobo ken New Jersey. He sold fruit from a cart and in his final days was a bank guard. He was a sweet person to me...but He was German and I hear when he was young he may have NOT been so sweet. Anyway... We went to Tennessee to see the mountains and on one of the mountains was the CRAVEN house which housed a family during the civil war... but also became a camp out for Southern Soldiers during that war. On the land was a soldiers grave...My grand pa and I were staring at it and I said (I was about 7) "Damn Yankees"... To which he gave a hearty laugh. He was so sweet and always told me I was mischievous with a smile on his face of course.... LOL, he had my number. Wise old man.
