Once again we find ourselves in a familiar position. The same position passionate Pakistani fans find themselves in every 4 years. Expectations are high and there is a sense of anticipation in the air. Thing’s might not be going entirely as planned for the team, but that doesn’t dampen the spirits of the fans. The team is training hard and the media has also begun to turn its attention to an event just over half a year away. It can only mean one thing. It can only mean that once again Pakistan is on The Road To The World Cup. My latest video is a look at the hard work being done by the Men in Green as they look to prepare themselves for the challenges which await them down under at the beginning of next year. The video also highlights some of the players which may prove crucial in deciding Pakistan’s fate - such as Ahmed Shehzad, Umar Gul, Misbah Ul Haq and Shahid Afridi. As fans, once again we will do the only thing that we can do – pray. Pakistani fans from all ages and backgrounds – kids, women, men and the elderly – will once again pin all their hopes and expectations on the 15 men who will wear the star on their chest as they travel down to Australia and New Zealand. Fans will hope that the players can repeat the performance of the ‘92 team InshAllah – the last and only time the World Cup was played down under and the last and only time that Pakistan has won the World Cup. Come on team – let’s do this!
