Once again we were in the cardiologists office today. The result of the meeting between Kiaras doctors and the cardiac surgeons is that we can still put off her surgery safely. To try and stay in full control of things they are putting her on additional meds. The additional meds will lower her heart rate and blood pressure further which will have to be monitored.....they can also damage her kidneys. This is the outcome I was expecting, although we could do without the side effects!! Hopefully she will suffer nothing. Kiara did tell all who would listen that she simply does not have time for heart surgery!! There is Taylor Swift next month, then Christmas, heartkids camp in January, her birthday in February....heart surgery just does not fit in!!
