Once again, we’re spotlighting the success of our state conservation partners. The stewardship of Washingtons fish and wildlife falls into the hands of the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife. This year, WDFW celebrated the 75th anniversary of Sinlahekin – the state’s first wildlife area. This area, purchased in 1939 with Pittman-Robertson Act Funds, is a prime example of Federal and State agencies working together for the benefit of species and the habitats needed to sustain them. Check out the FWS highlights reel which includes the kick-off ceremony hosted by FWS Director Dan Ashe. https://youtube/watch?v=K7IYxsig12M
