Once upon a time.......... Two patients shared one small hospital room. One patient had his bed close to the only window, while the other had no window on his side. The window patient used to look outside and give the other patient a running commentary of everything that happened outside the hospital. The other patient would listen to the panorama and go into sound sleep dreaming of a world outside his room. Weeks went by and one day the window patient died peacefully in his sleep. The other patient was shifted to window side. He looked outside the window but could see nothing except a blind wall blocking all his view. He asked the nurse how come the dead man was giving him details of the park, colours of the roses, ducks in the lake, and couples walking hand in hand? Collecting her tray the nurse said; Dont know exactly but perhaps the man knew he would die of cancer and wanted you to keep holding on to the hope for life, and sadly enough he was blind.
