Once upon a time, there was a young man that had a father who was a doctor. The doctor had a successful practice that he had established many years prior. One day the doctor became ill and passed away. It was a tragic loss for the family and those close to the doctor. Soon after his passing, the son thought to himself, maybe I can become a doctor! And as simple as that, and with no prior training, the young man began to practice medicine. The young doctor was so excited. He could now practice medicine. Or, at least consult with his dads patients about their condition. But there was something that the young doctor did not realize. There was an epidemic in the city that he was not aware of. An epidemic that was taking the lives of thousands. I can help this the young doctor thought! Ill keep our visits positive! They are already going through enough negative in their lives. So, the young doctor would meet with his patients weekly. They would come with their diseased body and he would show them unconditional love and kindness. Week after week they would come to his office, and he would tell them youre going to make it! You can do this! You are a champion! Great words, but all the while the patients grew worse. This didnt hinder the young doctor from his method of prescribing positive cliches to the patients while refusing to diagnose and treat their disease. When asked about his method the young doctor responded, I dont believe its necessary to talk about their disease. They just need unconditional love and positive words to lift them up. Ultimately thousands died because one doctor did not tell his patients the truth. Moral of the story? Avoid doctors that ignore your SICKNESS and only deal with easing your SYMPTOMS. Find a church that is honest with you and will tell you the truth of your condition. A church that will identify sin and tell you how to overcome it. A church that will give you the prognosis that will bring about the remission of your sins! Borrowed from Craig McCracken via Kevin Shindoll
