Once we appreciate that we all live in an imperfect world, we may be able to understand AAP in a better manner! Of late, in the back drop of an influx of a large number of people into her fold, AAP units all over India have come under a great Administrative stress. Small functions like controlling membership data, issuing welcome messages, involving people in AAP programmes, have all become a huge task. Given the fact that AAP’s offices work mostly by the support of her Volunteers who are not paid for their services, it all boils down to a few people trying to manage a huge work load without any compensation! When Volunteers spend days and nights toiling away on honorary assignments, despite their several personal problems too, at times criticisms that things are not done systematically can frustrate these people no end. This is exactly why I usually counsel patience whenever criticisms are leveled against AAP’s functioning. AAP will also settle down. It will take time. Meantime let us not be very harsh in denouncing them!
