One Day Tournament - Ayub Park Final Garrison FC 1 (2) - (1) 1 Popo FC Sohaib started in goal with Hamid and Sherry at the back, Afnan in the holding role with Waleed, Mamu and Gujjar lining up front. An end to end affair started from the get go with Popo being the better of the two side in the early goings. Popos quick paced on the counter saw them take the lead as Abdullah Khalid(AK) set up Hassan as the Greens failed to get back. However as soon as the Greens went a goal down, Hamid became a man on the mission as he took charge of the game with his impressive pace down the left. But that did not mean at all that Popo were going to let up on their advantage as they continued to hold possession and continued to make timely efforts at goal. The most prominent of them being Salehs headed attempt which was saved by Sohaib going down to his left. At the other end, had it not been for Taimurs last ditch tackled the Greens could have managed an equalizer as Gujjar and Hamid were linking up greatly on the left. The second half saw Eddy come in for Waleed while Hamid was allowed his freedom up the pitch. This change resulted in instant pressure on Popo as the Greens were now finding opportunities to get in on the scoring tally. Quick pressure paid fruit as the ball on an attempted corner found its way to Gujjar who then set up Hamid who made no mistakes in finding the back of the net to even things up. The game could have gone both ways from their on, however due to poor time-management of the tournament, the second half was cut short to hardly 10 minutes and the game was taken to a penalty shoot-out. Penalty ShootOUT Hamids penalty was saved Moiz Ghani while the following Popo attempt was slotted home by Saleh. Eddy stepped up to slot home his attempt while the following attempt from AK was saved brilliantly by Sohaib. Mamu stepped up and fired home his penalty into the roof of the goal. With the game to be decided on the final kick, Taimur was unable to find the target as he missed firing over the bar thus resulting in a win for Garrison.
