One For The Books! Had the great pleasure of riding in the Park to Park Century ride in Lincoln County Nevada this Saturday through 4 Nevada State Parks! Rode with some really great cyclists - Stan Saito, Leno Llamas, Mike Dziedzic and several others! Highlights of the ride included the fabulous TDF Style cheering & support from the Dziedic - Becker crew! These kids were truly amazing complete with signs, high fives & cowbells! Enjoyed gathering a tactical lead group of about 20 riders in the beginning! Back spasm at mile 46, ugh! Thank you Jenny Becker for the roller at the rest stop around mile 55! Flatted at the start of the second half, but rallied to ride again! Ascended 4176 feet at the summit, thinking to myself and the mountain... Is THAT All You Got??!!! Then hit a head wind... and caught & passed up 5 riders along the way reuniting the 4 Musketeers at the next rest stop. Mike, you were right - I should have filled up my half empty water bottle for the ride home... two full bottles are definitely better than one & a half! Rallied on the climb & was in the zone after the third rest stop but ran out of water 5 miles before the finish! All in all, would do this ride again! Best supported Century Ride Ive ever ridden! Stats: Total miles 107, Time < 6 hours, Max Climb 4,176 ft, Speed... Plenty of it!!! Cycling with friends... Priceless!
