One Response to “A nuisance to democracy: electoral rumors ” Forza the real fraud and use of money is happening in the very poor areas in the North West for example (otherwise why is Riahi obtaining 16 sits in the parliament when old militants like Ben Jaafar have not won any??). Also you reject the thesis of votes of died people and even young people by mentioning just the one example Sarsar commented but fact is that there is a large number of testimonies on this and the fact that the ISIE is very quiet about them make it more suspicious. I trust myself Sarsar and his team in the central location but even the independent organizations at least for some of them were criticizing the voters register as the weakest point of the whole election process (see comments of Morakiboun and ATID). Take wrong entries in register and non neutral leaders of the voting center and you obtain fraud. Fact is that the ISIE fired 1500 of the vote center managers after the legislative elections, about 15% of the total. The Zuerciher Zeitung, a swiss newspaper reported in one interesting article that some of these people have been recruited just one week before the start of the elections. President Marzougui does not want to delay the transfer of power to Essebssi but the ISIE shall investigate the claims seriously and shall not believe the comments of a French journalist who may just saw the vote centers in Carthage and Sidi Bou. The ISIE must work on improving the register or better allow every Tunisian in the age of vote to vote. In fact we don’t have a participation of 60%, it is just 40% if we take in consideration all the 8 millions of potential voters and Essebssi with his 1.7 million votes has been elected by less than 22% of the Tunisians. Finally the ISIE must review all their SW because if it is true that electors with 15 years are registered as shown in one of the videos, this means that their SW programs are not performing any consistency checks for the data entered. We know that the old and new regime are experts in fraud and the ISIE may be even their victim so rather than claiming that everything is perfect, it is better to make it perfect.
