One clear picture about UK politics so far. Wales has Labour, Tory and UKIP England looks like it will have UKIP as highest share of EUro MEPs Scotland has small increase in UKIP taken away from Tories and Lib Dems What does this mean? Firstly British politics is pushing the country to the right, making it certain that there will be an EU in out referendum Secondly, Tories will have to concede that its a real possibility that they will need UKIP in a future UK coalition for Westminster. As Ive said before Labour will find that they will need to consider how right they move. Labour also are not on the clear track to a win in 2015, which can only mean more years lost to the Tories and the Right. In Wales usually considered to be a Labour heartland, they have two out of three right wing MEPs in Europe and one wonders again what this means for Labour and Plaid Cymru. In Scotland, we may have resisted UKIP and Scotland look as if they are happy with SNPs Scottish government. If SNP get the third out of six seats, then that will have positive ramifications for the continued momentum towards the referendum. Conversely if UKIP get the sixth seat instead of SNP, a recent poll suggested one in five people will shift to YES vote in September. Undoubtedly, Scotland and the rest of the UK is politically moving in two directions and we have been there before. Tory vote has collapsed since the early eighties in Scotland to one MP less than we have pandas. A return to times like this already began in 2010 and looks like staying now in 2015 with UKIP emerging as fourth major party in rest of UK. We have one chance and we all now need to get out there and work hard to stop this with a YES vote in September. I will be leading with a small team and announcing shortly what we will be doing to make that tipping point towards a YES vote.
