One core issue of the Child Rights Act is child marriage/girl bride. If this CORE clause is removed, what then are we advocating for?? Our senators voted YES to that and YES to their pension but voted NO to granting AUTONOMY to our LOCAL GOVERNMENTs. I watched the news yesterday and I was saddened by the latest development. I call on all Women Groups, Feminist Activists, Human Rights Advocates and all well meaning Nigerians to condemn the decision made and demand for a reversal.
