One day my friend was writing on facebook; the next day nothing. Nor will he ever again. He’s gone. No advance warning. No time for goodbyes. You can no longer turn on the news without hearing about death. Beloved, death has become an ever present shroud in our daily lives. Celebrities. Journalists. Military members. Men. Women. Children. The truth is that each of us will one day come face to face with Jesus Christ. We’ll break loose and soar, our spirits set free of this body that we’ve worn all of our physical lives. The question is, where are we going? There are only two choices: Heaven or Hell. You must answer that question now because if you wait until you’ve passed it will be too late. Here’s one of my favorite songs of all time: “I Wish We’d All Been Ready,” most recently by DC Talk. I believe they’re referring to the rapture here, but think of it in terms of leaving this earth - one way or another. Heavy thoughts, but necessary. Be blessed as you go throughout your day and make a conscious effort to bless those God puts in your path. ~Bonnie~
