One day people will spay and neuter. They will research before they adopt. They will commit to a dog for life....not just until it knocks a trash can over one too many times or becomes an inconvenience. Hearing that a shelter is full hurts me. It hurts me for the dogs that wont get the chance they deserve just because of a painful mathematic equation. It hurts me for all the volunteers that fall in love with a dog and donate their time to make THE DOGS time....however long or short....as pleasant as possible. They give so unselfishly. One day. One day I really believe that life will be better for the shelter dogs of this world. I have to believe. And in the mean time I will continue to fight for them. Pray for them. Mourn for the ones that pass and rejoice in the lives saved. The Bedford shelter had 10 dogs surrendered by their owners to a full shelter just TODAY. Foster. Donate. Adopt. Advocate. Share. Laura
