One dead, one charged in Coolbaugh Township barbershop fight May 10, 2013 A Tobyhanna man died following a fight inside a Coolbaugh Township barbershop Thursday afternoon, police said. Quentin Thomas, 34, was found conscious and bleeding outside the Stylez barbershop on Route 196, where police said he got into an altercation with Shawn Develvet, a fellow barber. Develvet, 48, was arrested after being questioned by Pocono Mountain Regional Police. Both men got into a heated verbal argument that turned violent. Police Chief Harry W. Lewis would not say if a weapon was used in the incident. Police secured a warrant to search the premises, which anchors a small strip mall that shares space with a day care center — which was operating at the time — a church and a restaurant. "We were prepping the food and we heard a big noise," said Mildred White, who was working in the soul food restaurant next door. Police responded to the call for a fight just before 3 p.m. When officers arrived, they found Thomas, known by his friends as "Q," sitting in a chair outside the barbershop. He had blood on his hands and was in a "deteriorating" state, according to police. He was rushed to the hospital by Pocono Mountain EMS, and died en route. Develvet will be arraigned on charges including homicide, aggravated assault, giving a false report to police and tampering with evidence. The investigation is ongoing. Camilo H.
