One elected official says, I am listening to my constituents...the ones who elected me...to determine how to vote on an issue. Thank you for writing. Your opinion is important to me. Another elected official says, Thanks for writing, but I will vote my own opinion regarding what the Constitution says, and although I respect your opinion, ultimately I will vote according to my own point of view. Who is right?
