One evening in the fall of 2008 I was having a beer and shooting pool with friends on a slow night at THE JOKER, my local neighborhood dive bar in Santa Monica. We were regulars and in comes a camera crew with comedians Chelsea handler and David Attel. They had prearranged with the owner to shoot a five-minute sketch for her TV show, Chelsea Lately and said if we stayed they would buy us a drink at the end. But when it was over our grouchy bartender Keith told them that that was not necessary because we were regulars. DICK!!! Anyway, it was fun and I didnt know until last week that the scene existed on YouTube. So heres a little snippet of me and a couple other old timers at The Joker on Pico Blvd. circa 2008! PS~~~ on the one with the T-shirt that says KAMPER UNIVERSITY!
