One hardship will not overpower two eases! Shaykh Muhammad al-Yaqoubi visits Akilah Hospital in Amman, Jordan, which is one of the few institutes offering free healthcare and medicines for Syrian refugees, and focuses particularly on those who have not completed registration with the Jordanian authorities. As a consequence of this, these refugees are entitled to treatment immediately without having to wait approximately six months to complete the registration process. It is one of three hospitals in Jordan that are almost entirely managed by Syrian doctors, who themselves also have refugee status. The hospital has a five-bed ICU unit, six primary care clinics, and one-hundred in-patient beds. Various humanitarian organisations fund the hospital. At the current time, many of the patients are victims of the conflict in Syria. The noble Shaykh met the sick and injured, imparting encouraging words of wisdom and hope, as well as praying for their health and safety. The Shaykh also presented each patient with 50 Jordanian dollars and a book of supplications. Finally, as a mark of respect and gratitude to the noble work of the staff, $10,000 was gifted and presented to Akilah Hospital on behalf of SKT Welfare.
