One hed like to forget! Zac Efron grins in throwback pic of him as a teenager with crimped hair He found fame thanks to his role a teen heartthrob in Disneys High School Musical. But Zac Efrons own teenage years were not quite as cool. An old photo of a then 14-year-old Zac shows the youngster with greasy crimped hair. While now he is known as a slick ladies man with a penchant for taking off his top - in 2002 the would-be star was willing to do almost anything to get girls to notice him - including braiding his hair. In the picture, a young Zac grins away slightly sheepishly with greasy crimped hair that is parted down the middle. The picture was taken by one of his female classmates when the Neighbors star attended the California State Summer School for the Arts, four years before he would appear in the film that made him a star. According to his classmate, Lana Limon, a young Zac was happy to have his hair braided as a way to get closer to the girls. Talking to the National Enquirer in 2010 she said: I braided his hair one day, and he left it in for a long time. And then when we finally took it out, it was all greasy and crimped. It was just for fun.
