One hundred and one years ago today the man, the myth, and the legend known as Muddy Waters was born. Arguably the most important blues musician to emerge in the 40s, he wrote the book on the Chicago Blues and then some. His recordings of Hoochie Coochie Man, Got My Mojo Working, and the monumental Rollin Stone remain timeless classics. He was a major influence on The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin Official, Eric Clapton, the Allman Brothers Band, and Angus Young of AC/DC. Happy birthday Muddy Waters!
