One month ago, my life changed. My son was running through the house when he stumbled into a window; he crashed through the glass and fell from the 2nd floor to the concrete ground. He suffered a broken arm, fractured elbow, and had multiple cuts from head to toe from all the glass, but to God be the glory, he survived the fall. Nothing could have prepared us for something like this. As a man of God and the Priest of my house, I have the understanding that the enemy is always making attempts at the lives of Gods people, but for this, I was not ready. Nevertheless, by the Grace of God, it is well. Thanks to the prayers of the righteous, the encouraging phone calls, the visits...this traumatizing experience is becoming more of a distant memory and a lesson learned. Today, July 30th, I am especially grateful. Today my son turned 10 years old. Considering what he went through just one month ago, the fact that we could have lost him, I am constantly brought to tears. But today is different. Today I cry tears of joy because my boy is still here, he is healthy, and he made it! The devil tried to take him out but the wings of Angels covered him! No, I am not the same man I once was. This has challenged me in ways I never thought I could be challenged. But the reality of the situation is that no matter how great you may think your life is; no matter how awesome a parent you think you are or calm things may seem...your world can come crashing down at any moment. This is why it is important to stay prayed up and keep your life in Gods hands. HE IS AWESOME! HAPPY 10TH BIRTHDAY, JEREMIAH. MOMMY AND DADDY LOVE YOU!
