One more fun summer idea for older teenagers. Buy them a good video/still camera and let them create a video blog during Ramadan. They dont have to appear in the video. Let them document their experiences while visiting different masajid for iftar and taraweeh. By the end of Ramadan, they might have created a full documentary that can be screened at home or the masjid for the youth to view. You can make it more personal by documenting Ramadan at home. From waking up to suhoor moments, day hours, going out, iftar, taraweeh...you name it. Finally, screen it at home during the Eid day for fun. PS: While doing that your kids will learn so much about Ramadan and lots of skills. Especially life skills.
