One more positive story I must share. In elementary school Ty was a holy terror. I was called to the school several times a week because they had him restrained in a special room because he had lost all control. He was suspended several times for fighting and lashing out. He ran from teachers when he was in trouble. The principal knew me quite well and we became quite the team in dealing with his antics. At times I felt utterly hopeless and a complete failure. As many of you know I have worked tirelessly with this child to ensure he succeeds. Last year he wasnt suspended once and I was only at the school one time for a pretty minor incident. Today I got an email from his social studies teacher on how proud she was of him. He scored a 21/22 in a geography test and she always tells the students if they arent satisfied with their grade to see her to get a chance to do better. Tyler approached her after class asking to improve his score and was able to earn back the one point he missed. I am more proud than words can express. If you feel hopeless in your parenting or feel like you are failing miserably think of my sweet Ty and have hope. Nothing is impossible. I send praise to our lord for answered prayers and helping me guide this strong willed boy and to the many people who have helped me along the way. God is good always.
