One my cellmates in HMP Exeter was Luke Dann, a club owner - TopicsExpress

One my cellmates in HMP Exeter was Luke Dann, a club owner millionaire - the heir to the family shit, a guy who could afford to hire The Searchers to play his dads birthday (at one of their own clubs, obviously), very much into the classic era of modern popular music, Roy Orbison and the like. We talked about all sorts - Savile, Krays, the coming crunch, and also music. He REALLY recommended Ed Sheeran to me. Ive had a number of my own bits of knitting to sort out in the two years since I saw him - I mean, there really has NOT been a break, down the rapids, hold on to your ass & pray it doesnt leak as you kiss it goodbye sort-of-thing - but I heard this the other day, and it grew on me within about two plays. I suppose I relate to the lyrics and the sentiment now me & Carole are properly settled in a permanent address and building a home. I have to say, he looks like the product of an unholy union between Boris Johnson & Bilbo Baggins - but its a really beautiful song. :)
