One night in Glasgow many years ago, Jack Bruce gave me a lift in his Ferrari. He told me about how tough it was going go school at Bellahouston Academy, near Ibrox. He didnt play football, but he played the cello and his classmates called him a poof. A few years later, he came back to Glasgow as a member of the Manfred Mann band. The same boys who had called him a poof were suddenly his best mates! I was a wee bit drunk and as I opened the door to get out the door handle came away in my hand. Jack was very understanding and said it didnt matter. I never saw him ever again. RIP jack, sorry about your car!
