One of Americans most haunted mental hospitals denies SyFys Ghost - TopicsExpress

One of Americans most haunted mental hospitals denies SyFys Ghost Hunters request to investigate... this actually isnt as surprising as some people may think. Locations deny TV investigators all the time and it has nothing to do with the specific investigators. A lot of times the location is afraid of the publicity. Sometimes this fear is due to the location having a very bad history/reputation and they want to maintain control of their public image. There was a haunted hospital in the south we were trying to investigate and we had to send an investigator to attend a city council meeting. The haunted hospital played a key role for our investigation, as our client was a former paranormal investigator who claimed she became possessed after investigating the facility. She later passed away. The town voted against allowing us access, and if I recall correctly, it may have had to do with the fact that there were a lot of connections/ties to the town (including a few notable people) and devil worship. We wanted to investigate these claims, and that would have included digging up some not-too-positive history of the town. Despite making every effort to assure the town that we would not damage the property (as well as take every safety precaution so none of us would be harmed on location), they denied us. Nonetheless, its an interesting PR story that shows just how far we have come in the ghost hunting community. 12 years ago, this would have never made the news. Heck, 12 years ago, a city council wouldnt have even considered hearing such a request.
