One of Kollywood’s leading production houses Vendhar Movies has decided to shift gears and go for small budget films. Vendhar Movies, S Madan has started a new banner Maruti Creations which will make small budget films. Madan had produced and marketed 28 films in Tamil like Aravaan, Sakuni, Ethir Neechal, Thillu Mullu and recently Thalaivaa. All of them were successful and now he feels it is time to make smaller budget films. Madan and his consultant T Shiva has decided to float the new banner Maruti Creations for small budget films. Madan in an interview said: “A lot of small budget movies due to budget constrain go unnoticed. They have good content but lack of promotions does not give them the reach. So Maruti Creations will promote and market the small films.” Meanwhile Vendhar Movies is going to enter Malayalam films in a big way. They have taken over Dileep’s Nadodi Mannan, which will be released shortly.
