One of My goddaughters came to visit over the Christmas holiday as usual. Both mother & child were discussing a celebrity, I chimed in with My impression of the celebrity after recently seen an interview. Days later I noticed an article again referencing the same celebrity so I forwarded it to My goddaughter. As soon as I hit send My spirit became convicted. That type of idle chitchat/gossip is something that I have removed from My life years ago but is usually the basis of their conversation thus being part of the reason that I dont socialize with them or many others during the other 364 days thru-out the year. If I can have a positive effect on My brothers Life & Spirit why would I allow his negativity spirit to infect mine? Thats settling, a self-destructive decision, a blatant contradiction to Gods word ***Psalm 1:1 Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers and the scornful.*** Ive said it time and time again, I’d rather be hesitant in My speech, then reckless with it’s content & hasteful with the destructive power of My tongue. The ability to verbalize thoughts and emotions with extraordinary clarity is My God given gift; I refuse to use it any longer for anything other than Good as that was not Gods intention when Blessing Me. When We misuse Our gifts We risk forfeiting them. The enemy is the master of deception & disguise; he knows Our weaknesses better than We do & he will get in where ever he fits in. As a child of God We have to be mindful in the things We do, the places We go, as well as the company We keep. People are like gravity they will either Elevate You or drag You down. We have to learn to be Still while God is moving so that We can be conscious of the distinction between the two. The enemy only has the power over Us which We award him.
