One of my FB friends sent me this message: Claire, Just finished reading Wrapped In The Flag and wanted to let you know that I enjoyed it immensely. It evoked a whole range of emotions and feelings in me. It was touching, heart wrenching, tear jerking, funny in parts, frustrating, despairing and most of all frightening, The parallels between then and today hit me like a sledgehammer. The rise of the rabid and extremist elements in this country who wield such control and influence over Congress scares the hell out of me, so much so that I have even contemplated returning to Australia. I hope enough people can see the light before November 4th so we can take back the House and increase the Senate majority to at least 60.
