One of my dearest friends is a Nicaraguan who sent me this famous revolutionary song from Grupo Pancasán, some times called a testimonial group. From one of my favorite albums of all time, Vamos Haciendo La Victoria (I have it in vinyl), the album with its remarkable vocal harmonies and orchestration was originally recorded at Radio Catolica. Pancasán is la moñtana from which Carlos Fonseca and the Frente Sandinista para la Liberacion Nacional organized itself among campesinos in the north of Nicaragua in the 1960s. Googling Grupo Pancasan on Youtube, you will find the songs Vamos Haciendo la Historia, De la Libertad del Pueblo (which contains one of my favorite musical and political lines of all time habra pan para todos o no habra pan para ninguno - there will be bread for everyone or there will be bread for no one), and Apuntes del Tio Sam...
