One of my favorite culinary terms (although I am not sure if it might be considered a proper term by some) is the Italian QB - quanto basta, literally translated to "however much necessary". But how much is exactly "however much necessary"? Well, there are a few way to find out. To start, You can watch the video and meet Chef Gabriella from Casa Sasso Foodbar Italian, here in Kelowna. Gabriella knows how to "listen" to her ingredients, and pays attention to the seasons, to the flavors and to what her instincts, and her experience tell her to create beautiful food and She embodies like few the QB philosophy. Or You can read the full article that was posted along side the video on my column for the Welcome to Kelowna web site here: youtube/watch?v=H1n26VN_4Ms&feature=c4-overview&list=UU-UVmsZoYiG2m7Ywyd539YA Any comments and suggestions will be, as always, greatly appreciated! A big shout out for this week guest artist Basement Freaks! The majestic Rasp of "A Blues Thang" gets things started, and two more original tunes from the awesome "Funk from the Trunk" complete the opera! You can stream the whole album here: https://soundcloud/basement-freaks/sets/funk-from-the-trunk And Big Ups, of course to The Hong Kong Ping Pong Club - the infamous duo based in the UK, notorious for their disruptive behaviors and, among other things, for being hosts of the award winning Beating the Creates Show! I go now! Much Love and Arrivederci! The Rotten Grape, Urban Harvest Organic Delivery, Valoroso Foods, Danio Management
