One of my favourite biblical teachers is called Chuck Missler. He is always saying Dont believe me, go & study for yourself. If only more teachers said this. These are wise words. Especially in an age of social networking, everyone is a teacher. I believe weve all followed certain teachers & preachers. Teaching is a calling & gift from God, so we need to embrace this. However it is dangerous to readily accept every teaching that comes our way. Idolising & following of one teacher is even more dangerous. 1 Corinthians 3:4-10. This is where I believe Paul was warning against denominations & the following of certain teachers. And instead encouraging relationship & pointing towards following Jesus. Look to return to the heart of personal study, with Holy Spirit as our guide through the word of God. Always speak to Holy Spirit & ask for guidance. John 14:26. The early Christians had no NT. How did they become so empowered & understand the scriptures? Primarily with the OT, & Holy Spirit as their guide. If its in the bible, OT or NT it is worth studying, teaching & growing in. Jesus is in the bible from start until the end. Revelation 22:13 Love & blessings
