One of my main reason for my theory that: Shanks will die by Blackbeards hand leaving Luffy to take his place as a Yonkou and all of his territories and giving him a push to get more stronger than he already is setting him up for the final fight. Sometime in the New World Shanks and Blackbeard will fight and Blackbeard will kill him. Also Shriyuu of the Rain will either defeat or kill Dracule Mihawk as well to obtain the Greatest Swordsman title leaving the final fight for Zoro to be himself vs Shiryuu of the Rain. Zoro will problably go back to complete training from Mihawk after spending some time in Wano County in the near future. Shanks and Mihawk are best friends which is why they will end up being taken out by Blackbeard (Marshall D. Teach) and Shiryuu of the Rain.
