One of our followers has sent a plea for assistance: Hello Friends of AARF, I am posting a plea for help to get two dogs in OH to a vet. John, a former neighbor of mine in Dayton (I now live in Iowa), is a good fella and does the best he can to care for his dogs, but he is on disability and has no extra money for vet are when something goes wrong. He has had to move, and now it sounds like his dogs are suffering with an infestation of fleas. (A cat hoarder lives nearby, so that is probably the source.) He has spent the little resources he had on flea preventatives, to no avail. One of the dogs has a raw spot at the base of her tail and cannot even sleep comfortably. She is also having digestive issues as a result of the stress. He is not asking to have the money sent to him but rather to have someone pay the vet bill directly to the vet. He can transport the dogs to the vet but cannot afford the bill. I have one donator but will need more money.
