One of our well respected Sihings took his first sparring class at the academy last night, and did a fantastic job linking drills to application and logic. Of particular benefit to me, was some footwork drills that helped us identify an error in my front stance! He had our opponent throw multiple straight punches, and have us use only footwork to move out of the way of the force (no hands). Doing so made us realise that my front stance tended to be too shallow, and that my footwork was demonstratively improved when corrected! To borrow a phrase from Nicole... #LevelUp ! :D -Fi
