One of the 8 foot rabbit runs I just built. At the end is a hidey-hole box. Rabbits like a place to hide where they can feel safe. We do not believe in keeping rabbits in cages! Given the chance and done right, rabbits can be litter box trained. They are very clean animals actually which is why you always see them grooming. None of the rabbits at Cottontail Cottage are kept in cages. I hate seeing rabbits in them. Especially when they are not let out on a daily basis. :( And worst of all with nothing but wires to sit on (rabbits have no foot pads and will develop painful sores.) My own house rabbit, Nutkins lives in a cornered off section of my living room (i took an ex-pen apart and made it into a fence) with his little hidey-hole box + litter pan. Just a daily sweep is all thats needed. (Ive attached a picture. I call him my library rabbit because he is in with my books. lol.) there are infinite possibilities.
