One of the best father songs I know of. I never truly understood how a man could love children that were not his blood. Then I met Mercedez Godwin and all the years I spent not understanding, running from or fearing my dad made me completely understand how love is far from blood borne. After my Dad past, I had Grandpa Hyder (man in my cover pic) and Len Miller, to ask tough questions of. But one man will all ways stand out to me who spoke to me like a son and all ways had time to listen if i needed. Thank you Dennis Foley. Thank you to the men i have had the pleasure calling Dad all these years. For shaping who i want to be and helping me make really tough decisions. My only hope is that i am half the man/father to both my beautiful children Mercedez Godwin and Shay Vaughn. I love you both.
