One of the biggest lighting fairs will be held at Chennai Trade Centre, Nandambakkam, between September 13 and 16. Supported by government agencies such as the India Trade Promotion Organisation, the Central Public Works Department and the Department of Industries and Commerce and others, the Chennai centre of the Indian Society of Lighting Engineers is organising “Light India International 2013.” The fair will see 250 manufacturers, including 40 from abroad. Mainly a B2B event, the fair will allow exhibitors to explore investment opportunities and locate partners for joint ventures and tie-ups, according to a press release. The fair website Lii.co.in will provide more information on the event and participation. It will be open to the public from 3 p.m. to 8p.m. Seminars, meets, and technical sessions will be part of the fair.
