One of the biggest reasons why I love the hairdressing business and why I think you’re so fortunate for being in it is because hairdressing is one of the only businesses I know of where people are empowered to regulate their own income. In other words you have the power to give yourself an enormous raise in pay. I just came from a salon meeting where there were 7 out of 20 stylists that’ll earn over 20% more in take home pay than they did last year. For those seven people that dollar raise was from $5000 all the way up to over $15,000. That’s freaking amazing! Many stylists enjoying such raises have spouses who work in professions, which require annual evaluations before they receive 2% pay raises. But that’s not true in the beauty business. No way baby! YOUR RAISE BECOMES EFFECTIVE WHEN YOU DO. The moment a Stylist wakes up to this life-changing AHA their fuse gets lit and from that day forth it’s Boom Chaka-Laka!
