One of the easiest things to do is stop going to church. At first - TopicsExpress

One of the easiest things to do is stop going to church. At first you feel bad, then before long youre regularly sleeping in or making plans on Sunday without a second thought of church. Satan makes it easy for you to miss and discourages you with thoughts and stories about what a horrible place it is. I know because we did it for many years, and I want to lovingly encourage you to give it a chance again. Some things to get real with: every church has hypocrites, every church has problems, you wont agree with everything in a particular church, there is not one perfect out there, people are sinners, every last one of us, and when you put us all together theres going to be issues occasionally. Some things to realize: Churches support you through life crisis, deaths, new births, weddings, prayer etc. We left church so so long ago because of those hypocrites who hurt us. I nurtured bitterness and cringed at the church inviters for years. I know what that feels like, but I now discern that Satan is a liar and a master deceiver. If I have a bad experience at one restaurant does that cause me to stop all restaurants together? No way. So why not give church a chance? God wants his children in church, we are supposed to worship, praise, and study His Word together, were not meant to do this alone. Its about Jesus and your walk with Him. There are over 300 churches in my city, see how many are in yours. If God calls you out of one church, He is not calling you out all together, because that goes against His word. Do a Google search, research churches near you, make a list and start visiting. We did this last January and found that many meet in peoples homes. If you live in a rural area where there are very few churches, get your friends together and start holding it in your home, rotate houses, this is how it began in the Bible. Pray about it, listen to Him. God has a place for you. Believe it. The first Sunday of the year is coming up. Why not make 2015 your year to return to church if you havent been going?
