One of the functions and responsibilities of a local television station is to make people aware when they are in danger. This includes all people in our viewing area, not just where you live. We have a very large viewing area. We understand that while you may have blue skies and birds singing at your house, other people may be in grave danger. Think of all the horrible scenes from Alabama and other places over the last few years that have suffered terrible loss of life during tornadoes. And that was with warning. We couldnt live with ourselves if we didnt warn people just because the majority of our viewers are in clear weather. I hope you understand. I know many of you wont. But thats just the way it is. And we promise you, that if your home is in the path of a dangerous storm, we will also try to warn you, no matter if that means other viewers are missing their favorite tv shows. I guess thats why reruns were invented.
