One of the greatest South Koreans rockers, Shin Hae Chul, just passed away today. This guy was a musical genius. He mostly composed progressive rock on par with King Crimson, but also branched out into many different styles throughout his 20+ year career, including jazz, electronica, hair metal, dance, and even opera. He just released a groundbreaking acapella track with 2000+ samples of his own voice just a few weeks before his death. I have a huge amount of respect for this guy. This isnt an RIP post. This post is a celebration of Hae Chuls music. For all of my friends and family who have no idea who this guy is, take a moment to check out a few of these songs.
