One of the interesting change sin our social interactions during the Obama Presidency has been the polarization of the civil discourse, the left and the right have moved to the outer edges and there is very little left in the middle. This polarization of the political process now even affects how state government officials view and treat people who they know are registered as a democrat or republican. I believe this now having an impact on how state regulators who are democrats deal with or respond to business owners who they know are registered republicans. This explains a lot of the frustration that small business owners have with state and federal regulators. We need to have clear rules that are fair and applied in a uniform manner. In Florida we have no clear set of rules for ALFs and no clear rules on how state agencies will carry out inspections of these facilities.
