One of the key practices I am teaching my suns is how to EXECUTE a well strategized plan. Today, was a BIG PLAN check-in day for our 2014-15 school year. As we were assessing our progress in Solaces and Nasirs BIG Plans, the focus question to answer was: how do you plan to accomplish your goals. Solace expressed a very well thought out plan to accomplish his big goal, including a detailed plan to secure his greatest required resource, money, through entrepreneurship. My 5 year Nasirs goal was simple: to make toys and sell them. His plan was simple: to get supplies to make the toys and then sell them. Solace asked Nasir, do you know what accomplishment means? It means that you have to actually complete your goals. Mama asked us specifically how will we finish our goals. How are you going to finish that big ol plan by the end of the year? Nasir said, get supplies, make toys and sell them, sticking to his initial proposition. KISS in effect. Solace said, o.k. I believe you. They both got it right, thinking a little differently and respecting each others differences. They are going to run an outstanding worldwide enterprise one day. No doubt. And we shall proceed. #ProudMamaMoment
