One of the lousiest pieces of trash journalism Ive ever read. A constitution cant be upheld on merit alone. It MUST have a mechanism to ensure its perpetuation, its own security. A written constitution is, after all, only a piece of paper which, without institutional protection can simply be shredded! Suggesting that a written constitution nullifies the need for constitutional protection is akin to saying the US Senate and President are unnecessary! A constitution, whether written or judicial cannot survive without a Monarchy or substitute thereof. Thats what a President and Senate is... a substitute for a monarchy (albeit, an extremely expensive one)!
